Their Feet Run to Evil

Proverbs 1:16- “For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.”

This is the Scripture that came to mind as I watched two different women practically running in to the abortion mill on Saturday morning. They saw the sign upon arrival: Malachi…the reality of what they were getting ready to do to their own child….murder. One young mom caught a glimpse and immediately turned away, covering her face. The hurt, the pain, and the desperation were evident. She heard the pleas in the name of Jesus-that Jesus loves her and her child, that God created her baby for a purpose…the cries from caring Christians with compassion, praying as they spoke that she would not enter that place of death. But, she entered the building as fast as she could… the pull of Satan was strong…the battle was fierce.

To our knowledge, neither lady changed her mind that morning. We can only pray that the words spoken, and by the Holy Spirit’s power, her eyes will be opened to the truth of Jesus. As we all must do at some point in our lives, because we “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), may she realize the weight of her sin, and come before the Savior in repentance. May her broken heart be mended, and may she be set free from the clutches of the enemy (Isaiah 61:1). Not only does Satan want to take the LIFE of thousands of babies each day, but he is out to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy” the LIFE of these women and men as well. But Jesus said, “I am come that they may have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Continue to PRAY for the mothers and fathers who leave the abortion mill each day, after giving in to the deceptions of the enemy. May their feet no longer run to evil, but to JESUS!

What Would You Say…to Miriam?

Cities4Life wants the “What Would You Say” posts to be as interactive as possible. Not only is this good practice for thinking on your feet during everyday encounters you might have with people who oppose your worldview, but it is also good training for those who want to do Frontline Ministry outside of abortion mills. And remember, Scripture addresses the root of these problems.

After reading these REAL-LIFE statements and questions, please leave a comment as to how you would respond if you were face-to-face with Miriam. And, yes, these are true stories.

What Would YOU Say to Miriam?

Miriam killed her baby by abortion recently & has a question. “I was 6 weeks pregnant, and I am Muslim. I know in my religion that the Spirit goes into the body after 4 months. This makes me feel better. I am taking medicine to prevent depression, but how did you deal with the emotion of sadness?” What would you say to Miriam?

RN Sposorship: Help Save Babies’ Lives

Since the annual C4L dinner, the response for nurses to man the mobile ultrasound unit from Monroe HELP Pregnancy Center has been amazing. We’ve had so many RNs volunteer that they are bringing the sonogram training to us! What we need now is the funding for this training session. Would you, your business or church like to sponsor a nurse to receive this valuable training? These nurses go directly where the help is needed the most - outside abortion mills! They are able to show abortion-minded mothers the new life growing within them, and many lives are saved as a result! We have the nurses. Please help them reach the abortion-minded women in our area! Donate through the C4L website today or e-mail Lisa for more information ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )!

One Pastor’s Take on Christians and Abortion Clinics- Pt. 2

Abortion: A Gospel Issue – The battle for life is undeniably a Gospel issue, and everyone in God’s church should be concerned with the Gospel. At the very core of pro-life ministry are two facts, the church has the Gospel, and those involved in abortion need the Gospel. What we must do is show up and give it to them, and when the church chooses to ignore the gospel opportunities that arise at killing centers, it misses one of the largest and whitest fields that America has to harvest. The cross Jesus carried to Calvary was the ultimate reason He came. His cross had to be carried as a result of an assault by the enemy on innocent, free people God created in His image. Free man of course chose poorly, and lost his innocence, and he died spiritually and eventually physically. Abortion is not much different, an assault by the serpent on the seed of the woman. His tactics haven’t changed, robbing the innocent of life and destroying the soul of the one who chooses death. Unlike Adam, this baby has no earthly voice for choice, but it has a divine one, blood that cries out to a just God. Precious preborn babies need Gospel representatives on earth to speak on their behalf, and we speak when we imitate Christ by picking up the cross of burden and responsibility and die to ourselves on it repeatedly for the Glory of God, the advancement of the Gospel, and the saving of innocent life. This is the mission of sidewalk counselors, prayer warriors and ministers of Jesus at abortion clinics. Do you have eyes to see that abortion is a gospel issue that the church cannot afford to ignore any longer? Though there are many strategies in winning this battle long term, none is more vital than the presence of the Church of God at the place where the battle for souls and lives physically manifests.

Cities4Life Presents The Projecting Hope Film Festival

Cities4Life had the joy of presenting LIFE to a packed theater after the premiere of October Baby at the Projecting Hope Film Festival at Ayrsley Grand Theater last night!

Prior to the movie, Cities4Life was highlighted as a preview to the show. It was amazing to have C4L videos rolling on the big screen! After the movie David Benham of Cities4Life, alongside producer, Cecil Stokes, and lead actor, Jason Burkey, called the standing room only crowd to action for LIFE. David proclaimed that “October Baby inspires people for LIFE, but C4L provides the conduit with which to act!”

Hundreds of people filed out of the theater to make room for hundreds more for the next movie, one of many to be shown all this weekend at the Projecting Hope Film Festival. Throughout the theater the buzz about faith-based films and Cities4Life was electric. Dozens of movie-goers stopped to talk about how inspired they were.

Benham said,“Last night’s showing of October Baby was an excellent motivator, used by C4L to encourage others to be a voice for the voiceless by acting on their pro-life beliefs”.
