Several weeks ago a mother drove her daughter to the abortion mill have an abortion. The mother spent the entire car ride there trying to talk the young lady out of having the abortion.
When they arrived at the abortion mill, they sat in the car, the mother listening to the counselor speaking on the microphone. Finally, the mother rolled down her window and said to her daughter, “You need to listen to these people.”
The young lady finally did listen and decided to come on board The Monroe HELP Crisis Pregnancy Center’s mobile ultrasound unit.
Not only did this young lady choose life for her baby, but after hearing the Gospel and seeing her need for a Savior, she surrendered her life to Jesus and was gloriously saved!
Some people may wonder why we use a sound system in front of an abortion mill. The usual perception is that we are blasting people, pointing fingers and condemning. The fact of the matter is that the use of amplification has saved so many lives, just like this little life in the testimony above.
The microphone enables us to amplify our voices, reaching out to people without sounding as if we are yelling. Many women have shared testimonies of how, when already inside, they heard a song, Scripture being read, or even a testimony being given on the microphone. They testify that those snippets of truth helped to save their babies! The microphone is one of our most useful tools and many lives have been saved through its use! Thank the Lord for such a tool that we are blessed to use as we speak up for those who have no voice!
The young mother mentioned above is doing well. We were able to connect her with a mentor who has been working with her and has gotten her involved in a local church. Please continue to pray for this mom and the other mothers who choose LIFE for their babies and begin new lives themselves.
