What Would You Say…to Noreen?

Cities4Life wants the “What Would You Say” posts to be as interactive as possible. Not only is this good practice for thinking on your feet during everyday encounters you might have with people who oppose your worldview, but it is also good training for those who want to do Frontline Ministry outside of abortion mills. And remember, Scripture addresses the root of these problems.

After reading these REAL-LIFE statements and questions, please leave a comment as to how you would respond if you were face-to-face with Noreen.

“When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!” Isaiah 1:15

What Would YOU Say to Noreen?

“God is a forgiving person. He’ll keep His hand on me.” ~ Noreen, a professing Christian, as she entered an abortion mill to have her infant killed at 14 weeks.

A tough one for sure and I have the advantage of sitting here taking all the time I need thinking of a response, not sure I would have had this answer readily available on the spot or not, but here goes…

God is a forgiving God, but he’s also a just God. You have to look at all of God’s character you can’t pick and choose the attributes about Him you like and ignore the ones you’d rather not think about, that is called idolatry.

God is the author of life; He knits us together in our mother’s womb. He knows the number of days he’s prescribed for us and when we as humans kill our babies, we exalt ourselves just like Satan did in his heart when we join with him and say “I shall be like the Most High. I shall decide life and death for my baby.” We affectively say to ourselves “I am God.”

At this point I would probably ask them, since they claim to be a Christian, if they believe what the Bible says. I would hopefully ask them questions like “Do you think God knows all about you…does He know your name…don’t you think He knows what you’re going through right now…do you think He’s a good God…well if He knows you, knows your name, knows what you’re going through and is a good God then do you think He’s up to no good by putting a baby in your womb? The Bible says that children are a blessing from the Lord. This statement tells us that not only are children a blessing, but they are from the Lord implying only God can make a life.

    Hopefully that would be enough.
