We are pleased to announce that Cities4Life will be represented at The “Teach Them Diligently” Homeschool convention on April 3rd-5th in Spartanburg, SC. The Teach Them Diligently Homeschool Convention was born out of a recognized need for more events celebrating the focus of Christian Homeschool Families—that is, to disciple their children to glorify God.
Cities4Life will be represented at the convention in two ways. First, we will have a booth (#806) in the Exhibit Hall, which will have information on the Cities4Life ministry, including a flyer on how to record your family ministry as homeschool credits. We will also have “Families on a Mission” Cities4Life t-shirts available for a suggested donation of $5.
Secondly, Mark and Lisa Metzger from our Leadership Team, will be speaking at one of the breakout sessions on how they effectively integrate their sidewalk counseling ministry with Cities4Life into their homeschooling curriculum for their 10 children. Their passion is to share how to become a Family on a Mission, explaining the importance of teaching children to share their faith and beliefs through active family ministry, while demonstrating how to practically incorporate ministry within a family’s home education. Below is a description of their breakout session, which will take place on Friday, April 3rd at 3:00pm:
Families on a Mission: Integrating Family Ministry into Home Education:
A family who is engaging the culture through biblical evangelism and by actively contending for the faith is a Family on a Mission, advancing the Kingdom of God not just presently, but for generations to come.
Mark and Lisa Metzger, of Cities4Life™ and A2ndGenerationOfHomeschooling.com, explain the importance of teaching your children to share their faith and beliefs through active family ministry within your homeschool. Learn why it is important to supply your children with the tools they will need to face a world that hates God, becoming the warriors God intends them to be, while simultaneously incorporating your family ministry into your child’s or teen’s academic studies in a variety of ways.
They will show you how to practically integrate family ministry into your homeschool and family life and get beyond that comfort zone of homeschooling solely with the four walls of your home. While providing practical tips on how to schedule your week to allow for a day of active ministry, how to record your ministry academically, Mark and Lisa will explain how their family’s ministry has shaped their children’s education, worldview and changed their family forever.
Please pray for Mark and Lisa as they present on their very important topic and also pray that many families will visit our booth and express interest in getting involved in the ministry of Cities4Life. You can find out more about the “Teach Them Diligently” Convention by clicking here. Advanced registration is required. We encourage our homeschooling families, and even our non-homeschooling families, to attend this conference and to find out more about home education and about advancing the Kingdom of God through our families and ministry. Show your support and come by for a visit to our booth! Also be sure to let others know that we will be there!
